Prosthetics Wanted for Earthquake Victims in Haiti
Prosthetic components are generally not reused in the United States because of legal considerations. However, used prosthetic limbs may be disassembled and the components reused to make new ones for children and adults who suffered amputations after the Earthquake.
1St & Alton provide peer support and aid to those who have lost one or more limbs either through traumatic or surgical amputation. Our mission is to restore mobility and independence to disadvantaged amputees by providing the best available practical solutions for prosthetic care and rehabilitation.
